This is a review of LivSpace — your one-stop shop for getting your home interiors done.
Buying a new house in India is a headache and so when you finally get possession and want to get the interiors done, you realise that a new headache awaits you — disorganised contractors, sub-quality work, and delays. That’s where companies like LivSpace, HomeLane and MyGubbi come along — claiming to be your one-stop shop for all your interior work from design to installation. Our previous review was based on someone we knew. Since that has become quite dated, we are updating this review based on a customer who reached out to us. The review below is by Tanuj Sachdeva.
Discovering LivSpace.com – A Real Customer’s Feedback
It is after a great deal of inconvenience and agony that we are writing this feedback form. We really hope this gets to the concerned individual/team and there’s adequate action taken because we wouldn’t want anyone else to face the same situation and suffer the same amount we did.
Great Design and Experience Centres, but Empty Promises
In a nutshell, our feedback for the whole LivSpace team is extremely poor and disappointing.
What started with a lot of glam and empty promises by the sales team, turned out to be a miserable experience. At the very onset once the ‘site’ was made available, there were issues that started cropping up. Here is a ‘small’ list of issues in chronological order:-
Innumerable Delays by Livspace
1) Innumerable delays with civil work due to a clear lack of workforce e.g the site was handed over in the first week of February and only a couple of men worked on the site for the first month and a half. Additionally, the so called ‘Supervisor’ deputed on the site after a delay itself lacked the technical skills and experience to be able to deal with anything, which forced us to get involved at each and every step possible.
Poor Quality Work
2) Along with the delays, it was coupled with further disappointment due the extreme poor quality of work that was happening e.g the brick quality that arrived at the site was in shambles, it was only after repeated complains that it was changed. Another lack in quality was shuttering wherein gaps were extremely visible in the roof, to mention another one, the quality of tile laying was poor as well. All this poor quality work forced us to find other avenues and take all of these things in our personal scope(which by the way defeats the whole purpose of giving a so called corporate i.e LivSpace the full contract)
Lack of coordination and changing prices
3) Once all the dismantling was done, we were hopeful the situation would get better but it only got worse from thereon. There was a clear lack of coordination between the designers and the civil contractor to an extent where there were open disagreements on between the two on the WhatsApp group that was formed for the project. 4) Once the delivery of all modular equipment was done, another extremely ‘funny’ event occurred when we checked the price list. Out of a list of approximately 100s of things, we randomly checked the price of one product that was charged to us and surprisingly enough the price of that very product had reduced on the website as compared to when it was charged to us. In a world where prices generally rise, the price of LivSpace articles apparently decrease and the non-sensical explanations that followed were nothing short of absurd.(this was just a result of a random check we did, not too sure how prices would have changed for other articles)
Incessant Delays by Livspace
5) Once we got nearer to completion there were again incessant delays due to a variety of different reasons. To give you a gist of the delay, the site was first supposed to completed by June 24th, which then got shifted to August 31st(there was a gap in July when the site wasn’t available), which thereafter got shifted to September 30th. We finally shifted in the last week of October. Even if we consider a month long delay from all the jobs we took in our scope, there is no explanation for the additional delay of 2/3 months.
Deep Cleaning & Lack of Response
6) Once we shifted, the LivSpace team was supposed to carry out a deep cleaning session which never materialized. Even after it did, it was as shabby as it gets. Let alone deep cleaning, there was no cleaning whatsoever. After repeated reminders on the WhatsApp Group there were no replies at all(I should mention this again that the WhatsApp Group was put in place for coordination but it is just a one sided group where we used to put out our problems and there was zero accountability/ownership from the apparent ‘leadership’ that existed on the group)
A Year of Mental Anxiety
With all the issues mentioned above, I’m sure my whole family has gone through a year long full of anxiety and mental trouble. I would again mention how I’d really hope no one else has to go through any of this trouble especially when it involves lifelong savings. The only solution to all this according to me is ‘Not choosing LivSpace’.
Other Customer Reviews
Since the review above could just be a one-off, I went through some MouthShut reviews for LivSpace. By and large, the reviews were quite positive. Of course, there were several 1-star reviews, detailing similar problems as Mr P above — promises undelivered, usually related to sub-par work and timelines not being met, but most of the reviews seemed positive.
Later discovery: MouthShut is more of a blackmailing platform rather than a place for honest reviews. Apparently they charge companies a monthly fee (of several lakhs) to filter out the bad reviews and leave only the good reviews. And the opposite happens to companies that do not pay — good reviews are removed and only bad reviews are left. Yikes!!
I’m not sure if our case was a one-off and whether other companies also struggle with execution at times. (Do share HomeLane interior reviews or MyGubbi reviews if you have had good or bad experiences!)
LivSpace Design Partner Review
I next went to Glassdoor to check what the designers are saying — and well, it’s quite concerning from a customer perspective. If even LivSpace designers are saying timelines are not being met, I’d be quite wary.
Overall Thoughts
I’m quite interested to know whether LivSpace is doing a good job or not? The mixed reviews have really confused me. If you have used LivSpace before — please do share your review below, mentioning your city, your apartment name and your thoughts!

They loot money from you in the name of booking fee
Designers are fraud
No professionalism
No quality
No one bothers to answer your calls
They will either block your calls or switch off their mobiles
Don’t waste your time and money
Never go woth livspace. They are fraud. They never maintain their timelines. I have got them booked for my kitchen work which started in October and committed for 15days of timelines. Until today 23 December 2022, no kitchen work was done. I paid them 70% of amount. They are not refunding the amount nor delivering the project. Continuous followup and no proper escalation team.made things worse.
Fully agree! After paying your hard earned money you get Mental harassment and stress due to delays and haggling. Inexperienced contractors and designers.
LIVSPACE/UKEYO IS A BIG SCAM! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
I am not someone who writes negative comments but it’s my life’s mission to let everyone know how the company sucks and how they should NEVER buy anything from their website. They charged me for a set of 8 glasses and I only received a set of 4. I coordinated with them in terms of sending videos of the packaging, product, everything they asked for. But after a week of constant back and forth they told me that they can’t help me with the issue.
They are so petty and unprofessional. I have never lost my cool or patience while dealing with any brand’s customer service but this is an exception.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM LIVSPACE/UKEYO. You’ll only get defected products or some products will be missing from the order and they’ll ask you to forget about your money. IT’S REALLY NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE AND ENERGY.
One of the worst team / company that I have ever contacted. Its a complete trap for the customer. Their designs are not at all focused on the requirement but only on fancy things. Totally rubbish & wastage of money & efforts.
Livspace can go to hell for all I care. The project has been delayed for month and we are unable to celebrate any functions in our home. For every single thing there is a delay. The counter top is still not over. We are sitting in an unfinished piece of mess. No responsibility or sense of shame. No integrity. I have no idea how this company is still surviving. There are lot of false reviews. And I am going to keep posting negative reviews everywhere. Every single customer has to know what a mess they are getting into with this company.
I paid booking amount on 4th November, project completion was in December. My kitchen civil work to is not up to the mark. Cabinets are nowhere in sight, we are senior citizens and living in a mess with utensils and containers lying on the floor. Both of us are suffering from severe back pain. Our money is stuck up and we too. Cursing the team from the bottom of my heart.
I am a Customer with LIVSPACE. I got the designer Sujith from the CO and went ahead and got an Initial Quote from him for 3,12,000/-. I specifically asked him to add Hafele Hob with 3 burners and Chimney to the quote and he said he had added it to the quote. As a Customer I got the understanding that I got the Quote including the Hob and Chimney and everything that was on the design Plan. After paying the initial payment, I was informed by the designer that he forgot to add Granite countertop, Hob and Chimney within the Initial Quote and after adding the Quote came up to 4,50,000/- I wanted to leave the Company because the trust was lost and tensions were mounting but the company could not pay back the 40,000/- that I paid as initial and I didn’t want to buy any unnecessary appliances from LIVSPACE. But then again, I got informed that the Carpentry works were not added in the Quote and that I have to pay extra 42,000/-for that.
I did not want different vendors to work on a single kitchen so I had a meeting with Lakshmi and Sujith. We ironed out the details in that meeting. Before we Left the LIVSPACE EXPERIENCE CENTER, I was asked to select a Granite because the one we ordered initially, STEEL GRAY was not available and so I selected BLACK GALAXY GRANITE. This was in understanding that the Granite which we paid for will cover all the said surfaces I had asked for which included Breakfast counter Top, Front, Side and the rest of the Kitchen counter Top. I had always asked for the Breakfast counter to be covered on three sides. So, after a lot of negotiations and lots of adjustments on the Design from my side I agreed to pay extra. I paid the second payment i.e., 1,56,000/-
The Kick-Off meeting which was supposed to happen in the next two days happened after a week of the second payment. During the Kick-Off meeting Sujith informed me that I should take out all the Marble skirting that I had laid in my Kitchen which he forgot to notice or inform when he visited the Site numerous times before. It was waste of labour, material and money for Me. I had to pay for the removal of the Marble skirting which I would have not installed in the first place if the designer had informed me. It was not the first time that I had to tolerate this kind of behaviour from the Designer. Not the First mistake. We had an argument and he left the Site without informing or explaining what the meeting was all about. Such childish behaviour and no professionalism. Before giving the project to Designers they should be taught how to handle Clients.
During the same meeting I meet with the Project manager Joel who informed me that after payment, the order was not raised and the one week which I thought went into manufacturing the kitchen cabinets was actually used to collect materials. So, there was another delay of one week and the dead line for the completion was pushed again. The Project manager Promised me that he would finish my Kitchen within 18th to 20th of September 2021. I pushed the moving date to my new house by a month just because the kitchen was not completed.
After waiting for a month for the manufacturing to be completed I called the designer myself to ask what was happening in the project. Then and only then I got a mail for the final Payment. Which I would have paid if the designer had the presence of mind to send it before national holidays. This added a 3-day delay on the project. After the payment was made the cabinets arrived after one week. Yet another delay. After this I got informed by the Designer that he miscalculated the Carpentry work and so there will be neither Carcass nor Shelfs under the Breakfast counter and he can only provide shutters. After another distressing argument he said he would provide shelfs but not Carcass. To which I agreed just so the Kitchen would get over.
The project started and the team would come at 10:30-11:00 am and leave by 5:30-6:00 pm. I thought at least the Project would get over this time around. But there were some cabinets which was not delivered and so the project was delayed. Then I got a call from the Project manager Stating that there is no granite for the front and side of the Breakfast counter and even on the Counter top he could only provide granite with joints and not a full slab. I got such a shock when I learned there will be joints on a breakfast counter. I have never seen or heard of granite joints on a table. I refused to have joints. I got so many calls from the designer, project manager and even a vendor asking me to change my mind on the joints, which was so unprofessional. They were trying so hard to persuade me. I had a mental breakdown so many times because of this company.
The project which was supposed get over on 20th September is still ongoing. And I got a call two days ago from the Project manager, who informed me that he found JET BLACK Granite for all my requirements. I got confused again, because I already changed my granite style from STEEL GREY to BLACK GALAXY once just because they did not have Stock and now, he is stating a different Granite Style. He said he would check and let me know what happened and today he informed me he can provide STEEL GREY instead of BLACK GALAXY because it is costlier. They keep on confusing the Clients with misinformation. In between all this confusion the Designer forgot to raise the order for Hafele Hob and Chimney and so I don’t know when that will reach the Site.
Today is 5th October and there is no telling when this will get over. Delay after Delay after Delay. This project has been delayed so many times and there is still no end in sight. I had raised so many complaints and I still do not know what is happening.
I have been paying for the mistakes of the company from the beginning of the project. I could not have come to LIVSPACE if not for the initial Quote which was provided by the Company. The option to walk away from LIVSPACE was taken from me because of the mistakes made by the Company and I am still paying for it. I have been eating hotel food for past two weeks wasting money and time seems to be the motto of this company. You should change the tagline as Delayed Service with Medical bills.
WORST experience ever. WORST designer. They hire just passed out Architects who know nothing and do not have a Senior Architect to Check what is happening in the project. No sense of shame. 2X the budget. TWO WEEKS past dead line just for a Kitchen. Still not finished. I have been paying for hotel food. For whatever question They have this line “We just raised the Order”. Most of the time my Question to the team is “What the Fuck were you doing all this time?” Festivals are lining up and not a single thing is done. I have raised so many complaints. Nothing is Happening. I ordered Hob and Chimney and they have just raised order itseems, for something that I asked for in the beginning of the project. Waste of Time and Total Waste of Money. Had to visit Doctors for the Health because of all the tension which keeps mounting. Lots of loss. I would never recommend Livspace to Anyone. Not even my worst Friend.
BIGGEST SCAM !!!!!
We went to livspace as everyone else who gets trapped with their marketing and with assumption that our lives will be smooth but our experience has been torturous and a disaster. I would advice not to even look at this Interiors for a better healthy state of mind and peace.
1. Initial phone call, marketing, false promises will flatter you. They locked us at a very decent budget initially which surprised us and over 4-5 weeks of designing the house with designer, she kept promising us it’s per the budget and nothing to worry. Then, they lock down high end modulars much before the actual work begins and take payment. As we go week over over week, they keep collecting the payments and finally when it starts exceeding the budget they start saying maybe a few more and this goes on ending up with 3X our promised initial budget. At this point, even if you are kind enough avoiding frustration ask them to de-scope, they play the classic trap game saying we have raised to upper management and we will get back. Finally they say the order was raised and you have to end up buying (All this much much before the actual work even starts)
2. Now, after coming in peace with this scam, they promise work will be done in 45 days. We gave it 90 days to be safe while planning. But, after 150 days, we are still at a stage where Livspace hasn’t delivered. They deploy one worker after paying so much who hardly seems to be interested and the work progresses at snail’s pace. This is fine too compared to the disasters they committed after project validation at site. The designer designs gives us slides which is easily accessible and sneaks in to the Project Team completely other set of diagrams breaking the trust factor which we assumed while signing off the design will be same as what is accessible to us. They torture you so much and it’s practically impossible for us working our times, keeping a constant tab at Livspace, doing Project Management work for them 4 hours a day and it’s practically impossible for us to go thru all revised diagrams for a 4 BHK house again and again and identify where they sneaked in some unapproved stuff without our knowledge.TOTAL SCAM!!!!
3. Since they take 90% of payments even before 20% of work completed, the designer team who used to be after you and attend your calls even at holidays completely change their body language and tone after the payment is done. They no longer accept your calls and return calls after 2-3 days and sometimes skip that and torture us making us repeatedly call them. This really drains you and at a point you feel if you are actually the customer or if Livspace is the customer. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL behaviour of people working here.
4. As the project slowly at snails pace comes to reality, for all the mistakes they commit, they either blame the builders or give excuses and we have to compromise on low quality stuff and totally against what we desired for. Totally defeats the purpose of locking in design as they change the colours , design at their disposal and we can do nothing by nod our heads and shout like a frustrated customer. They really don’t care about the customer, answer in sarcastic way and move on since they have no accountability and responsibility.
5. Every 2 days the project gets stalled for 4-5 days at a minimum with Project Team saying Designer team has to raise order, then it has to be approved, vendor team to ack and deliver. This happens way too often and the Project Team at Site blames the designer and the designer makes excuses saying she is busy (probably fooling more customers in design phase to get their money) and she says in messages without picking the call today today, & that today actually comes after 15 days. They drag you to an extent where you lose all patience and you just want to get rid of LIVSPACE and accept losses and move on. THEY LITERALLY PUT YOU IN THAT SPOT.

Never go to these hyped companies to get your precious home’s interiors done. It took them more than 2 years to complete the work and handover my home.
I’ve taken this route since the customer care is deaf, and no one is customer centric in that company! You’re treated as just another project and nothing else!
The worst experience my family faced from 0-100% of the project execution. Absolutely no responsibility by anyone starting from the leads, designer and the site manager (one of the worst).
We paid hefty amounts for KnW, Aristo wardrobes, and customized works through Livspace but the quality and experience is worst!!
No responsibility taken by the site manager to frequently visit and check on-going works. We had to literally have a red carpet floor to welcome him everytime. And when he comes, it’s only a 15-20min timepass and he escapes.
Aristo wardrobes was one another issue, no quality, no locks, just showpieces and hell expensive. Once, the lengthy door almost fell on my dad’s head!!
It took them forever to finish, even now with some issues pending.
Customising works was very bad; 3rd party vendors come to do what Livspace cannot provide. At first, it’s all hunky dory but slowly their behaviour and quality of work is seen. Mistakes in quotations to blindly take money from customer and their carpenters are thieves who took things unknowingly from our site.
We are at a loss of money as I ended up paying 1 year of extra rent to my previous landlord (complete rent during Covid also) and had to forcefully move in to my unfinished home because of our losses.
The company also does not compensate for their irresponsibility and their laws doesn’t do any justice for the same.
In the end, only Basavakumar and Meer (after many site managers and employees changed) atleast picked up calls in the end and completed the remaining tasks (respect them for their work ethics).
Others were just in a hurry to complete and wash their hands off so that the warranty period starts.
Just a waste of my family’s time, money, peace and experience of building a new home (not house)!

The Designers take no accountability to design flaws. You have to pay money in advance before the product is delivered, so on delivery when you notice a flaw, nothing can be done. Just live with it. I spent over 5lacs on their products, and trust me on most of the products the designer goofed up with the dimensions.
The service and assembly team are then fire fighting to fit in.
1) Cupboard – The rod for putting hangers was put at 6.3feet. I am not joking. My wife barely reached it. The designer then argues that you approved the design. I obviously approved the design but didnt approve unrealistic dimensions. After lot of argument and an escalation, the designer does a BIG FAVOR on me and orders another plank to be put on top and get the rod in human reachable height
2) I am 6 feet tall. They showed me a study table online, which design I had liked. When the table came even my chair couldnt go in. It was so small. No ownership taken there, so I have to live with it
3) An entire pillar was missed when the design was made. After they fitted their product I just couldnt keep my existing cupboard there, primarily because the designer didnt feel to consider the pillar and to avoid the pillar it became a space crunch
There is no accountability but just a business of selling modules, take it or leave it
With all regrets
It would be a grave mistake if you choose livspace. The initial canvasing will be attractive but once the payment is done, the whole approach changes. it is just a big corporate company struggling with too many customers and very less skilled designers. And they get the ground work done by local vendors with such a high price. The same work would’ve been done by a local carpenter for half the money.
Not to mention the utmost failure of completing the work in the committed timeline. On top of that they’ll make sure the payment is done in full before starting the work. We struggled a lot with them and seriously regret giving our hard earned money to such nasty corporates with no values.

I agree with every word.They take every joy out of your life. It’s so disappointing to meet a series of de-motivated people just waiting to convert your hard earned money simply into their salaries.
On an average my experience with Livspace was pretty fine. I got the kind of design and stuff I wanted. Their work ways are actually quite nice and detailed.
In my personal experience – AVOID this company as they will drag you around, delay the project and cost you such turmoil that when you do finally go to the new houses the joy of a new house is completely lost as was my case 🙁
The Design/Sale process starts of well but slowly the issue start creeping up. Dont get swayed by the fancy office and the smart, articulate staff. The 3D rendering of your apartment will further hook you. Once you pay the advance, the trap is being sprung. They will visit your site explain and then they ask for the next advance with not a single days work!! They will conference their factory who will tell you that their policy does not allow them to start work without the advance. Once you pay this the trap is truly sprung and the drama starts You are now well and truly hooked with no chance of escape. Day one the execution team lands they drill a hole in the bathroom without checking the layout and hit the water pipe, when i visit the site they have broken the bathroom wall tiles to fix this – imagine my feeling on seeing this absolutely incapable team and their work damaging my brand new apartment. So many fiascos to share but I will spare you the gory details. The PM blames the operations who blames the technical who blames the design – in short you as the customer is being given the run around. Also no one will pick you calls or return calls. You have to keep on pestering them.
I finally found their founder on Linkedin and contacted him, He sent me his Livspace email id. I started corresponding on that id and to date (1st Dec 20) he never responded to my mail – what an utter letdown by the founder – Anuj S.
The sad part is I had quotes from other companies that were at least 50% less in cost but what can I Say I meant with Livspace – possibly I was taken in by their well designed demo office and well spoken staff.
The project that was supposed to complete in 45days on Sept 2019 was finally delivered in Feb2020 – 5 months delay!! When I reminded them them of the penalty clause they conveniently pulled up a max 3% penalty and reduced their penalty to 30k. They are giving me the run around for the warranty papers asking me to pay for it. I am in two minds whether I should pay for the warranty or not. What was supposed to be a beautiful experience moving to a new house was turned into a nightmare experience.
Even today the name Livspace evokes a shudder . All I can say is Caveat emptor “let the buyer beware”.

I agree with you – they’re a nightmare to deal with! Absolutely unprofessional , unethical and unresponsive. The quality of work is horrendous ! They take all your hard earned money – spend a little on paid reviews and a little on false advertising n sit back n chill with the rest of it leaving you to go around in circles just trying to make sense of the nightmare they have put you through!
We have had a kitchen remodelled by Livspace. We also wanted a one stop shop instead of having to chase up with contractors or carpenters independently.
Livspace’s design boutique in Lavelle Road is quite impressive and gave an impression of them being a popular choice among customers given the number of people visiting it.
Livspace takes the payment upfront and is very rigid about their process which means pay before they share anything (even tentative dates) with you. Once we paid for the design, the execution did not start till a month later (delayed from when they said it would). They had promised that the Project Manager will oversee execution and keep track – he was missing for the most part. The workers came in on their own sweet time – very less work was accomplished daily. Their Customer service is pathetic and not responsive. We have had multiple escalations with no response for a month.
Project is delayed by more than 2 weeks (it was already delayed in starting due to Covid) , now they are asking for payment without even bothering to inform on delays.
This is the worst experience I have had with any service. I think going with a single contractor might have been easier.
Will never recommend their services to anyone.

Rules have changed since July and the 1986 Act is now changed.
Let’s teach these buggers a lesson but getting their license canceled.
Btw my project is 569575, payment done on March 10th and since then Corona is the only way out for these buggers and they are still giving the same Sh*t.

Worst experience…it’s been 6 months almost and our kitchen is still not complete…we have experienced lot of issue…they take money in advance but not deliver work properly…would not suggest anyone to go through them…very annoying company
I would never advice anyone to go for Livspace ever. I have never seen any fake company like this. They cannot keep their promises and On top of it they will charge you more than double than the market price. Also they will say that they are going to use the best product what you have selected but inside the laminate they will use the MDF and cheap quality of ply. I have done payment on Feb and while taking payment they said project will be delivered and installed within 40 -45 days. But now they are saying that they will deliver it on August. I hated the most that they will not respond to your email and calls. If they respond by luck also after trying several times then again these guys will keep us moving from here and there. “Sir another person can answer your queries. If you will go to second person he/she will transfer you to third person and they will keep doing this. And after some time all will stop responding to your emails and calls”. This is how Livspace are making Chu******. We are 2-3 person has taken the Livspace and they are doing the same to everyone..
I would suggest to go for any other interior company or Carpenter but never go for LIVSPACE. They are literally make us crying.

This has been the most disappointing interior work I have seen (Project: 526503, Bavdhan, Pune) . Initially they make u feel it’s all gonna be superbly executed with their IIT sales guys and interior designers and they try to paint amazing picture of how smoothly the execution will be done and how less intrusive it is going to be with noise and pollution and how they will meet all your needs .
I had to do 1 bedroom and our conversations started early December but after I gave the registration amount I got a feeling that I am chasing people down. It starts with the ore sales guy who worked on initial design who brings in the architect and then disappear. Then the architect brings in the project manager and she disappears, then PM brings in the Site Engineer and then disappear. There are 4 people at the top who manage one Carpentar who takes frequent leaves. They have done a great job in copying IT . The work now is not even half way through and I have learnt a very important lesson. Do not go with such people at face value. Do your research on ratings and get a reference check done. For sure do not go with Livspace in Pune. If you come across names like Aseem, Parul, Aman from Livspace…. run as fast as you can and get yourself an interior designer at the end of your road who I am sure will do a much better job!
Livspace – If you think this is the right company for your interiors then I challenge you to think twice. They are not serious about their work, need pushback and follow-ups for every single thing. Always delayed on milestones but very prompt in chasing you for payment (even in the mid-night).
we have given our two flats project to Livspace in the month of 10-Sep-19 my project ID is 401408.
Initially, when we saw their previous projects we were very excited about their designs. When we started designing my house I realized that they don’t have a good design team who can understand my needs and can give results based on my taste. Literally, I have to spend lots of my time to and find designs on my own to keep the project on track and avoid delays.
My project is in mid but still, I have not got the quality 3D renders of my house which I can see before finalizing the design.
To avoid delays I did 50% payment to Livspace so they can start my work for Kitchen & Wardrobes. They assured me that furniture will be ready in 60 days and after getting the remaining 50% payment they will deliver and install the furniture.
Even after 60 days, I need to do multiple follow-ups with Livspace get the furniture. I have done 100% payment now and still, dates are not confirmed by Livspace.
There is no transparency in their processes. Initially, they tell you that you will get a project manager, engineer, escalation manager and a POC but frankly everything is just fake at their end. None of their mobile numbers is updated on their site in “My Account” section and reaching out to them is great pain.
I suggest you to not chose Livspace for any small or big work, don’t get into this trap by looking at good websites, ads, nice picture of their projects because all is fake.
After multiple escalations, they are still not serious. So don’t waste your hard-earned money with the people who are not professionals.
I can’t agree more I have a similar story Ankit. They have 4 people to manage(read mismanage) and 1 Carpentar to execute. I have only one bedroom to work in and it has been going for 3 months now. The people are careless and probably working just for money. I am going to file a dispute in consumer forum.
They are doing my interior in bavdhan pebbles urbania. Same story i have. They are just not upto their timelines they dont care if i have home to live or not

We had very bad experience with Livspace. I called Shyam from Livspace and requested him to send a painter and a POP guy. Without measuring the overall POP work the guy told me 80, 000 choose any design. Not sure how that works for a brand like Livspace. Additionally, when I asked the painter to paint the flat, he did not completed the work as per the process, also damaged my table and bucket which had an extra cost to me.
Really bad service and pathetic support from Livspace guys.
I had the worst experience with Livspace. My project started in 2017 and it still hasn’t finished. They said the project would be over in 2 months but they kept on stretching the project for more than 2 years now. We have gone through a lot due to this company and its employees. They have given such a hard time. Initially they took our money saying they need to get the work done. In order to cooperate we gave them money so that the work could be done but they did everything wrong and not on time. They used the worst material they could. Our interior designers have been changed so many times. Every day we had to deal with a new designer and everyone of them were useless. Instead of them giving us ideas we used to give them ideas. We even filed so many complaints in their head office but they never took the appropriate action. We talked to so many people in that company but they just ignored our problems. They used to give us satisfaction by saying we will get the work done by this date or we will come to the site the next day and get the work done. We have get our kitchen made twice because all the alignments were faulty and the accessories were of poor quality. It was discussed that hettich accessories would be used but they used some local company’s accessories. Also the tiles we selected for our washroom, they got some other company’s tiles of similar pattern but of very poor quality and used them. So we got every tile changed and got the tiles of our preference. If any wants to know more about my experience please reply I’ll give you more details with pictures.
1. For the internal wiring they did not take the required safety precautions that were needed to be taken. At so many places internal wiring is without condude. They also did not use socket boxes for the switches part, they just directly put switch plates on the wall.
2. Flooring tiles of very inferior quality. Many of the tiles have air gap and they make sound. Also some of them have cracks.
3. They used cracked pipes in one of the bathrooms. And when there was seepage and we asked where it was coming from they couldn’t figure it out. So when we called our own personal plumber he found out the broken pipe and it was discovered that they used polythene bag to cover up the broken pipe.
4. Doors of every cupboard or storage unit has faulty alignments. They all have bended.
5. Punning isn’t done on any wall. They have just directly painted the wall.
Read the BOQ very carefully if you still decide to give your project to this company. When we talked to the seniors of the company they accepted their designers fault but were unable to fix them.
Livspace took full amount before installation & then became very slow. Its been 7 months & I am still struggling to get our work done fully. Dealing with Livspace team Bangalore .

Have had a similar experience to a lot of comments around Aug 2019 and we are still in early stages of execution despite handling them the contract in early may. Costing has been a concern and management of time, budget and vendor customer work is atrocious

Just have one question, were you offered a sale period of 3 days which offered some discount and they went all out that you should book in this period. Can you share your location It is in Pune or not bcoz I asked them show me any one project which you have completed but no response from them.
Livspave has ruined my life. Sheer example of mental harassment to me & my family. Watch out for this space. Next will tell how & what they made me go through for months and still intend to for next few months. I’m sure after reading my story, not even one will give them project.

Today I’m regretting the day when I first clicked on LivSpace weblink to make an enquiry for interior of my Kitchen.
I would never recommend anyone to get work done by LivSpace or you face the music. Following are my experiences which I would like to share:
1. If you get any discount % while negotiations, please check the quotations thoroughly as I found that they have applied discount on just part of supply despite of agreeing discount on complete supply portion. Later on showing pre-order documents, they finally agreed. If i wouldn’t have gone deeper in bills, i may have missed it and paid extra.
2. Civil work: It will be double than you can get by local contractors. Over and above this, LivSpace will charge you 8% of civil bill which will make your expenses around 2.5 times than you could have done yourself.
3. Execution is pathetic: You may find mistakes in drawings and they will unnecessarily delay in execution in name of ineffective processes. I have started civil work of my kitchen after LivSpace confirmed that the supply portion is ready at there warehouse but after 10 days when I have got my work completed, they are delaying supply due to process mentioning supply will be made after 3 days after pre-inspection verification success report. I am on their mercy for getting pre-inspection verification report success and wait is endless despite of paying full amount.
There are many more such instances which are covered in all above reviews.
Now I am stuck up with them, suggesting others to stay away from these people.

Though there were several challenges in getting the work completed by Livspace itself but the biggest frustrating thing is the custom work. At the time of getting the contract Livspace designers will give you many good designs(most of them from Pinterest) and for some work would also suggest custom work which would be done by the vendors selected by them itself. Now here is the catch:
1. Vendor is Livspace appointed vendor and money is paid to Livspace
2. All the money is taken in advance before even the work starts or material is delivered. As a result, you will have no say on the quality or type of work delivered. It is either take it or leave it attitude
4. Vendor work is overcharged(more than double the market price)
5. All the money is taken in advance before even the work starts or material is delivered. As a result, you will have no say on the quality or type of work delivered. It is either take it or leave it attitude
4. Vendors itself are not professional enough, in many cases a local carpenter would be much better
5. No proper quality checks of vendor work. I had white dados installed by vendor using black cement which was very visible, and few tiles were even cracked. 6. Vendors get unprofessional labor which also leaves lot of mess and damages other installation, but no one takes the responsibility.
7. There is no guarantee, yes ‘0’ guarantee for vendors work even though its a Livspace vendor and money paid to Livspace.
Once the installation is complete and handover is done, even if the vendor installation does not work after few months there is no guarantee and customer has to bear the loss.
8. The regular answers you get from Customer Support:
a. Not our responsibility after installation done(have many mails saying that)
b. It was working fine at the time of installation
c. They will blame the customer by saying poor handling by customer, without giving any explanation. In my case whole installed glass fell damaging other installations but it was blamed on poor handling by the customer.
d. They will not get the vendor onboard for any discussions on the issue.
e. No empathy towards the customer.Your customer ticket is abruptly closed and even if you write several mails to the management will make no effect.
g. Several terms and conditions will be thrown at you even without discussing the real issue.
These are based on my real experience and hence providing this feedback so that any new customer thinks 100 times before signing a contract. Will be happy even if one customer is benefited by this feedback.

Even their interview process is very unprofessional. Senior positions given to inexperienced people, thanks to nepotism I guess. HR has no idea about the value of experience.
One of the Business Manager who interviewed me, said I am a fresher and wouldn’t be given much reponsibility, even when I have 5 years experience in a top company.
CEO should really look into hiring process, don’t let these bunch of monkeys deter deserving candidates from joining company.
I don’t recommend applying to this company or getting you work done from them, seeing the unprofessionalism of Business Managers.
If you want to spoil your life and destroy your house – Give it to Livspace. Delayed execution , expensive , shoddy work , unprofessional behaviour, no communication and no project plan. Total lack of sensitivity and no respect for Client and the house. My Villa work they damaged and put us in soup and then not even coming to coorect inspite of several request and pleas.
Worst part is that the CEO and COOs also do not reply and no esacalations work. No one visits the site. Would NOT recommend to anyone.
They are not an interiors firm. They are scamsters!
All this show that they are putting through their ads and articles seems to be all paid stuff for the sake of luring customers and investors in their trap so that they get the funds to lure even more of them.
To sum it up – it’s a nightmare falling in their trap. Please avoid if you love your hard earned money and peace of mind.
I went there today for an interview of the post of senior interior designer. I have 10+ years of experience and I have designed many homes. I went to them after seeing their website and their YouTube videos and I thought that their concepts are beautiful. But my experience was sad and bad. Everyone I met their told me that all designers irrespective of their post has sales targets and so sales pitch is very important. This was my first dissappointment. The next was that I was asked to do a technical Kitchen drawing with no background information in 5 mins. It is hard for me as a designer trained in Europe to think of a drawing even before the concept. The interviewer clearly told me that all that is expected from a senior designer is to make working drawings on autocad using their preset modular items and hand it over to the vendors. Obviously I could not connect with them on both the levels. So they offered me a design partner role which is exactly the same but not on their payroll. I don’t think I will ever work there nor will get any work done from them.
Extremely pathetic and unprofessional services by Livspace ,Delhi .Poor team coordination between designer ,project manager and execution .The customers will pay the price of the inexperienced and callous attitude by livsapce and shoddy work .Designer Ritu shiboo despande and project manager shivangi aggarwal lack knowledge and experience keeping cutomers in blind about many things which will be known later at the time of execution due to faculty designing. I am getting my interiors done with Livspaces.
They are a bunch of arrogant, oversmart, money extortioners.
I generally dont write negative reviews for anyone even if they have given me a poor service/product. But Livspaces is a class apart.
The only good part is that they have good designers. And the good part ends there.
Their prices are rubbish.
Each and every thing they charge you is atleast 50% more than the established market rate.
Whats more interesting is that they charge you 8% commission even on such exorbitant pricing.
I will never recommend anyone getting anything done from them.
I will give you certain price pointers, check it in the open market before engaging them and you will know the truth.
1) Tile fixing (livspaces 110 /sft) + 8% commission
2) paiting (livspaces 27 / sft ) + 8% commission
3) Installation of ply (250 /sft) + commission
4) installation (just intallation) of Veneer on door (18000) + commission
5) door laminate (14000) + Commission
5) false ceiling (140/sft) ++
My suggestion, stay away, they are charging you a bomb, will bill you for hidden things.
Once you engage them, you get stuck, you will have to endure them.
I had to remove half the things from their scope which i got it done for half the price.
And here, i am not talking about the delays, non responsiveness and high headedness of the team. Which is an added insult to injury.
You are right . They charge 50 percent extra . That is their margin . Without margin how they will be in business and have investors invested .
How was the delivery quality ?
Livspace has a very pathetic and sluggish approach once payments are made. My project in Mumbai for 3bhk apartment started in october 2018 and yet to complete. The work only progresses when ever I hold back the payments. There is no coordination between the site team and the designer. The designer Ms. Ritika Parab and project manager Mr. Ninad has always been keen on requesting payments by sweet talking however when the time for commitment and execution comes then no one is found. Every time i call them the answer comes with a sweet excuse for their incompetence and then a cover up story. These people need a strict legal control as they believe that they can get away easy in spite of playing with the hard earned money of their clients. What I was promised is no where to be delivered and what ever the work has progressed is all with excuses and compromises. Client’s compromise is acceptable to them but they will not compromise with even a single penny of their own.
I request them to take the matter seriously and come with a compensation plan soon or else the only solution is a legal action along with media coverage to expose their scandal.
I had written a complaint to the GM Mr. Anshul Gupta but still await any reply or acknowledgement from him. Looks like a scandal to rob people of their hard earned money as these things are easily manageable due to poor legal action procedures.

We are assigned inexperienced designer(Ananya), manager(Sanjitha) and also execution team Guru, Ashok and Karthik who never had good coordination with design team. For their mistake done by design team or production defect , they will never come with proper solution but they will start convince you to compromise.
After starting project with them we are tortured mentally as well as physically also.
Worst experience with live space. Pathetic designer and manager. I was pregnant so me and my husband didn’t go through the livespace review and gave the ownership of interior designing to livespace. It’s almost been 2 months since we have done our 1st payment and our work is not started. In 1st meeting they will trap you and once u have done ur 1st payment they will start showing their true colour.

Such a pathetic experience. Going through hell after engaging with Livspace. Everything mentioned in the above case is exactly what we are going through. As soon as you make the 50% payment everything starts falling apart. No commitment to quality, timelines and extremely no coordination between the Livspace team (designer, project manager, commercial person) and they keep working in silos. You spend all your time coordinating for them. Escalation matrix just doesn’t have any value. Constant calls and emails all go unanswered. Please don’t engage with them. You will spend far less time giving the turnkey to local independent contractors with far less cost and better quality.

Livpace did an excellent job in creating a very good first impression with their Experience center at Richmond Ave. we had to work with designers Ms.Aghina and her manager Ms. Kanika who were sweet talkers. Initially they were nice to work with. After we paid the 1st payment, then only we started to realize their true colors.
They would not answer to phone calls, and would take their own sweet time to respond to emails and also were rude in their language when they talk to the customers. Also, since we spoke about our feedback they purposefully derailed the project by another month. It costs us another few months’ of rent.
Also we found these designers simply design without having any idea about the entire cycle. A lot of requirements were lost in the translation. The end product we got is not what we had asked for.
We totally had a UNPLEASANT experience working with these two brands and would not recommend to anyone in the future.

They have a big range of products and dry well defined timelines. Their designers help customers to understand the materials and finishes along with designs. Good to see few positive feedbacks on livspace. Unfortunately I was not so lucky. Gave advance payment in April 2018, design took 7 months and execution from October 2018 to present and still counting days to see our dream house which seems a distant dream now. Still design keeps on getting change regularly to cover up their faults. No project manager was ever assigned, so took all hard work of coordination ourselves only. No idea for what ao ordinary things I have paid such an hefty amount.
Thanks for the update. I’ve heard that some houses can take up to 1 year to complete! Quite shocking.
Livspace is trying to make a process for the enitre house design work but has not been able to do it yet. The process is more on paper, but not feasible and practised in principle at all. We got our 3BHK done from them in Mumbai and wanted a hassle free project as we cannot afford to spend a lot of time. However, every single member in the team is extremely slow. The design phase took 3 months because the designer would not send us 3D designs in time and took weeks. After that, the execution was promised in 2 months but its 4 months already and still another week or so to go.
People on the project dont talk to each other due to which there is always a huge communication gap. The designer quality is average and most of the design work was our idea. She only helped us execute it. With a ticket size of 25 Lakhs, I would have expected a more senior designer and a smooth execution but clearly noone cares. The project head does not speak to us once the project was sold and project managers and designer is left to handle goof ups. There is no proper escalation matrix and we are left with struggling with the same set of people who cannot help.
On top of all this mess, they charge us at least 40% more than market rates with zero transparency on where is the money going. The only saving grace in this project was the contractor whose work is really clean and he is very professional. Its an irony that the organized set up was disappointing and the contractor who I was vary to deal with turns out amazing. I wish I had found him earlier directly, I would have designed the house and got it executed through him directly and saved at least 5-7 Lakhs. I would not recommend Livspace to anyone!
Guys – I have given a small project for kitchen & wardrobes & it’s been over 3 months & they have not able to deliver so far.
Their project plan are a trap as they keep changing their delivery dates with some of the other excuse. Their escalation are not promising. We are based in dubai, we awarded them this project seeing their website but unfortunately please be prepared for the delays even if you make payments well on time. I have already lost 2 months rentals so far.

They will talk very nicely . wait until you sign up. then their price revisions will start and slowly they will make up for the huge discount they offer in the first few interactions. their design team would not pick up phone calls/return messages after you sign up. we are struggling to get this project completed after signing up with them.

Will never recommend Livspace for home interiors. Very bad company to work with – unprofessional, irresponsible and unaccountable starting from designer to company head. More than 4 months after payment – work yet to be completed. Work is shoddy. Final product
different from the designed one. No co-ordination – at design manufacture and installation levels. Signing up with Livspace is a trap – you have no way out. Believe this or else you can suffer
One of the worst companies i have worked with.
The Management is completely useless and is not aware of what their co-workers are doing. There are hundreds of managers involved in a single project and simply assume that the other person does the job and nobody does the job.
The Designers give good designs and depending on the designer you get, you can change it. The managers will pay any trick to get you into the project, giving you hundred different instructions every now and then. Then, after 50% payment is done and the timeline is given. The entire team goes missing and they dont come back even when the deadline is met, unless we go and ask them what is the issue. Later they give a new deadline all-together and try their best to stick to it, after multiple follow up’s to the office.
The execution team gives another version of the story stating that the time-line was given to them as the secondary timeline only but the execution team atleast takes the whole responsibility in owning it up and finishing the project especially Prathap, Shivraj and Shashi’S team. Honestly, without these people, the project would not have been completed and they did a marvellous job.
My Suggestion is to not to go to Livespace if you are expecting a hassel free work to be done. You are going to go through a lot of mental tortue and it is going to be highly expensive and even the MD of the company does not care how the project is going.
I have tried sending multiple mails to the MD but all went in vain. They dont have any factory or warehouse. All of their stories is a big lie and they are surviving by blaming one another and not sticking to their words.
Worst communication between the co-workers and the Managers, New rules comes up in the middle of the project, Not Understanding, Not Committed, Most irresponsible team. I just survived completing the project because of the Designer and the Execution Team,.

Liv space is a facade that misleads you into believeing them. But one realises otherwise once you have fallen into the trap. The team that executes the work is unprofessional, uncoordianted, and lazy. My experience has been harrowing.. I am getting my kitchen done and my living room feels like a warehouse. for now over a month. Do not fall prey to their impressive advts. Your local contractor is probably far more professional then this big organization called LIVSPACe

Livspace is really very bad in keeping there promise once the initial 10% payment is done to start your project. After which you bad time starts and you end up following with him starting from project design until your material is delivered and executed. They are all behind money and nothing to care about customer problem. No time to time update from them regarding the project. And if at all if you are going through EMI with Bajajfinsrv then your project again get delayed and Livspace will never help in sorting out the problem and it comes over your head to fix the issue with Bajajfinsrv. Overall this is a horrible experience which I gone through.

Garima, our designer who has made lot of mistakes while raising BOQ which caused items to be ordered back from the factory .

Do you give incentives to your designers for the amounr which they are able to get from customers.
Based on my experience lot of overcharging done by livespace and timelines are not respected .
Please do not force your designers to become sales people and give them sales targets . Due to this customers will suffer and it will spoil your brand name

Extremely bad experience with Livspace… dont even want to talk about it.. these people are huge now and are only concerned about the money they want to extract out from the client… Better go for individual designers.. you will not have to escalate your matters every now and then with Livspace.. your designer will be be just a call away.. ndividual ones atleast work very hard to achieve targets and make their own identity.. this crook company is living just on digital marketing boom.. nothing else.

Very disappointing experience with livspace. All show and no substance. Our house has been delayred for very long and the customer support is abysmal.
