Big Basket Review (BigBasket.com)

For the last couple of months (ever since I’ve moved to Bangalore) I’ve become a fan of online grocery shopping site BigBasket.com.

What I like about BigBasket:

  1. They deliver: Oh yes they do. I am talking literally (products delivered on time products delivered on time in certain parts of Bangalore and delivered atrociously late in other parts of Bangalore) and metaphorically (deliver a great experience). Since we don’t take the car out too much, most of our grocery shopping offline happens at Star Bazaar (which is also great) or Big Bazaar (little more downmarket in our area). However, lugging home cartons of milk and heavy bottles of oil isn’t the most enjoyable experience.
  2. Free delivery: Yes, I prefer free delivery (on purchases over Rs 1000) vs delivery charges (Rs 20 for less than Rs 1000). But I have now come to the realization that Rs 20 is not thaaaat much! 🙂
  3. Flexible schedule: They let you choose when you want your goods delivered. They give you 4 time slots within the next 36 hours, so you have the flexibility of deciding when you want the guys to come over. Moreover, even if you aren’t at home, they are flexible enough to call you and say can we come tomorrow morning then? It’s pretty awesome.
  4. Great team: When the red Big Basket van comes rolling into our apartment complex, there is excitement on our faces. The delivery men are cheerful, wearing Big Basket uniforms, and work efficiently. Upon delivering they ask for the pin code (to ensure that they’ve delivered to the right house). Overall, you feel secure ordering from BigBasket.
  5. Related products: I bought soil, pots, seeds, and a khurpi from Big Basket!! Yes, I did. The first step towards home gardening can now happen online and it’s great!
  6. Great vegetables: Everything is clean and hygienically packed. Also, you get a range of organic and pesticide free veggies.
  7. Cashback schemes: They have a 2 to 4% cashback scheme running currently as well other promos (Big 5 sale – 5% off). These promos are easy to find (button viewable on the checkout page, which is great).

What I don’t like that much about BigBasket:

  1. Out of stock: A lot of things are perpetually out of stock. Like mushrooms. Which means I have to go to my local grocery store anyway
  2. Limited range: I was looking for a particular brand of milk, couldn’t find it on Big Basket. Also was looking for a particular brand of biscuits, couldn’t find. Looking for Keggs eggs. Couldn’t find. Wish they would increase their range soon.
  3. Under-ripe bananas: Some veggies, especially bananas, take a week to ripen after Big Basket delivers. So now we’re buying our bananas from the local shop. This is a common fruit syndrome, we’ve noticed.
  4. The App: Mr T tried using it several times; it’s quite buggy (not sure what exactly doesn’t work well.) The website is pretty simple to use, but could improve. Especially product details and photographs.
  5. Meats & Fish: Yesterday we cooked the fish we ordered from Big Basket (Rohu) only to discover that 1 fish came with 1 head and 2 tails!! We chucked away the pieces, obviously, and came to the conclusion that we are no longer going to order fish or meat with bones from Big Basket. Quite disappointing!

BigBasket.com delivers groceries in Banglalore, Mumbai, Pune & Hyderabad. Mr T and I order groceries approximately 3 or 4 times a month, spending around Rs 500 – Rs 2500 on each purchase and we love it!

July 2015 Update: I recently moved to east Bangalore and the experience here has been VERY disappointing. First time I ordered, the order came at 11 am when I chose the 7.30 am to 9.30 am slot. Worst still, two items were missing. Spoke to customer care and they apologised for both the late delivery and the missing items. When I said I still want the order, they said I would have to make a ‘replacement order’ for the next day. I chose an available slot was 7.30 to 9.30 am, saying I need the items first thing in the morning. I asked them if they could make a note to ensure that I get the item as soon as possible. They said they’d try. And when did I receive the item — at 2pm!! The delivery boy gave some lame excuse of ‘vehicle problems’.

There is something inherently wrong here: Big Basket screws up the order. Instead of apologising and saying they’ll send my items as soon as possible, they make it seem like they are doing me a favour by creating a ‘replacement order at my request.’ Then they screw up delivery times repeatedly — blaming the roads and the clouds and the stars — every but their own crappy delivery systems.

BigBasket Bangalore really needs to rectify this asap!

    I had to receive the order between 9:30 to 12:30, but I get a call at 12:30 saying the order will be delivered late as there was no response from my end for the phone call when their delivery team called. But the truth is I did not receive any call from Bigbasket delivery team. Finally when I asked them to cancel the order they agreed to deliver within half n hour and also the delivery boy agreed that he hadn’t called me. It clearly shows that big basket team just wanted to postpone the delivery because of their own reasons.
    After receiving the order I found that almost half of my order was not delivered. Luckily I had opted for COD option. Thus I deducted the amount for undelivered items and made the payment.
    On the whole I think it is better to shop in our nearby store, rather than bearing all the nonsense of the Big Basket team. It doesn’t ease our shopping but it’s an additional headache of all follow-ups and rechecking on the delivered item. This will be my first and last of Bigbasket.

      Actually, I also had a terrible experience this week with BigBasket (first time after ordering 10+ times). Same problem like you: they were supposed to deliver in the evening but didn’t (didn’t even call) and then ended up delivering the next morning. On top of that most items undelivered (16 out of 25). Fortunately, they did both refund the amount plus returned 50% of the undelivered value into my wallet. I think they are unable to keep up with demand — hopefully the situation will improve soon. (I’ve ordered again, let’s see what arrives tomorrow morning!)

        I had placed the order yesterday and it was supposed to be delivered between 5 and 7:30 PM. I got an sms promptly saying it is out for delivery but the delivery guys never turned up!

        I called them thrice, they said they will call me back in minutes, but no one called me from the customer service. How unprofessional!! I think we have to pay for the products and also for the damn calls we make to the customer service who are totally inefficient and incapable. They said they were unable to trace the delivery vehicle and promised me a refund of 10% for not delivering on time. I have not heard anything about that yet. I told them to reschedule it to the first delivery the next day as i did not intend to receive it that late in the night.

        Finally they knock the door at 10PM!! and just drop the things and go, when asked why they were late, there was no response, they did not even ask us to enter the pin in the device that the delivery boys carry. We do not receive what comes free with the products. On 5KG wheat flour there was something available for free and it never came through, even if it is trivial, wont we get it for what we pay in the normal shops or even big bazaar kind of outlets?

        I had mailed their customer service, nothing comes back from them except the automatic response. They just do not respond to your query, no matter how many.

        I had ordered a few times from them and this is the first worse experience. What surprises me is that their warehouse is just a couple of kms away from my place and they could still not send it to me on time. i do not know what caused such long delays.
        My honest advice to all is that please use Cash on delivery option, it is not easy to get money back when you have already paid. They are just not reliable, not worth banking on.

          Wish I had read the reviews before becoming their euphoric customer! I opted for card on delivery a couple of times and their card machine never works! The quality of the fruits and vegetables is very poor. Raw guavas that are rock solid, pomegranate that can compete with the size of lemons, ketchup bottle that was added in my bill on their own, probably because it was nearing expiry!
          But the optimist ( or maybe lazy!) me again ordered from big basket and this time paid in advance to avoid scrambling for cash at the last minute, but was shocked to see that the quantity for which I paid ( Kiwis, apple fuji, lemons) was not what I got when the stuff was delivered, needless to say – delivered later than the time I selected – of between 7.00-9.00 AM.
          Now this experience falls in the ‘unacceptable’ bracket for me as this amounts to cheating!
          Making customers pay and under delivering… sending poor quality stuff, just because there is no physical interaction…!
          I am so very done with them.. especially since half the time I don’t even have the time to verify what they deliver against what they have invoiced, which means I will be an ignorant customer who is blissfully unaware of the swindling happening maybe every time that I have ordered through them in the past! 🙁

      i have ordered on big basket and they were suppose to send a welcome kit along with the first order but when their delivery boy arrived half of my order as well as. welcome kit was missing….he simply told me it is nothing but only labels of grocery…he will deliver me the next day with me another half order ….but next day some other delivery boy came with a excuse that he did not know anything about it and he told me to speak to customer care….when i called up the customer care ,a lady, named kayki told me that she would check it and got it delivered in another 3 days else whole amount of my order would be refund back…..i waited for whole one week and again called the customer care and asked for the lady,,,the guy on the phone asked me the whole matter and again told me that their senior would call me back and i would be having any problem and would get my welcome kit…..now its more than a month i haven’t got anything…..what a grand welcome they have shown….they are such liars and irresponsible people…..worst online grocery store

      I also have the same experience with the big basket Noida – 201307. They cancelled my order after two day of the booked date and said that they did it after a discussion with me but its not true. Again when I booked the order again for the same day evening the come next day morning without my permission. When I called to customer care, the way she talked to me is really unacceptable, she also said that she will not accept my further order any more. It really ridiculous and ashamed.

    They send you rotting, dried, broken open vegetables in damaged packaging
    Don’t care about their business, delivery vehicle gets stuck in accident/altercation, they deliver the same goods to customer after 24 hrs in conditions described above
    Can’t deliver twice a day to same address, no scalability
    They make different promises verbally over phone and online in their system
    No coordination between delivery teams and customer representatives for order tracking
    Very poor service experience definitely to be avoided
    Please share widely so other customers are warned and these guys take some responsibility for providing bad service

    I had been a customer with Big Basket since more than a year and it has been a worst experience with big basket in last 3 orders since we have shifted to Banaswadi from HSR Layout. All my last 3 orders had been delayed delivery by 30-40 mins and this time it time it was 4 hours.

    I had placed an order yesterday (04/05/2015) and it was supposed to be delivered today (05/05/2015) between 7am to 9.30am. After waiting till 9.40, I started to follow up with customer care and had to call them four times, as every time I was being told that I will get a call in 5-10 mins, but no one called me from the customer service. Finally on the 4th call, customer service agent told me the same reason that I had got in my previous orders that vehicle has broken down.

    I don’t understand why every time a vehicle carrying my order breaks? Why a vehicle goes down only in Banaswadi because I never had this issue in HSR Layout? If the vehicle was not working, nobody was even bothered to call and inform me that vehicle is not working or it is stuck somewhere, hence delivery will be delayed. I had to call 4 times just to hear a repetitive monotonous reason. Finally I got my order at 1.30 pm which was 4 hours late. Thought of submitting a feedback through the phone that delivery boys carry when we enter pin, but this time even delivery boy was not carrying the phone as well.

    This is highly disappointing and slowly I am getting forced to choose other options for my grocery shopping.

    Hoping for a proper service in my next order and if this is repeated, I assure you that I will be enforced towards choosing a different option and it will be Big Basket’s responsibility on losing a customer for their poor delivery service.

    Here is my experience:
    I ordered for a next day delivery in the 7:30 pm – 10 pm slot. I get a message at around 5pm that the order is out for delivery. At 9 pm a guy calls up saying that the order won’t be delivered because the casket wasn’t sent. At that late, I couldn’t even go out and buy grocery for dinner or for lunch next day. I leave for work at 7 am, so the 7:30 am – 9 am slot wasn’t feasible for me. The guy said that he will give me a 25 rupees discount on my bill value for not making it that day and that my delivery will be the first delivery the next day in the same 7:30 pm – 10 pm slot. Next day, it was 9 pm and the delivery had still not arrived. I called the helpline and they said it will arrive by 9:20. It came at 9:30, but one of the items I ordered for was missing. I had already paid for all the items and the delivery guy had left. It was unfortunate that I hadn’t checked it earlier. I called customer service again. They said that they will arrange for a delivery of that item the next day. The next day, when the delivery guy came, he wanted me to pay again for that missing item. When I told him that I had already paid, he asked me to call customer service again. All this calling cost me more than 50 rupees! All for what? Their own mistakes? Anyway, when I called customer service, they put me on hold saying that they will check the information, and then they hung up on me! I was running out of balance, so I asked the delivery person to call them. He said, if you don’t want to pay this small amount of money, then leave it, I’ll pay from my own pocket. Now, why should I pay twice for something? I tried to tell him that he should tell the big basket people that I had already paid for that, but he stormed of saying that I was cheap! Is this the kind of service one expects from any company

    Here is my Experience
    I have always got all the orders on time and delivery was satisfactory. However the worst thing to happen is I ordered Lokwan Wheat packet of 5 kg from Big Basket. When i measured the same at home it was only 4 kgs. First order i because suspicious when my usual container was not filled fully. Second time when i ordered i actually measured and found to have this cheating done. There is no point telling Big Basket about this once i tear the packet however now i am suspicious that whatever i order of Bigbasket brand may notbe of same measure and hereby posting all the community to be aware of this and stop purhasing from Big Basket.

    Very poor customer service
    Perishable goods and Dal’s vegetables are not fresh anymore and I hot worms in attack
    Shampoos and other products are half filled or sometimes below quarter of the quantity lotions etc…
    Worst part is although I have brought it to there notice no response

    I would strictly advise not to shop on big basket anymore

      Let us know how it is for you, Bhavishya. Most people don’t write reviews when things go well, so it does paint a biased picture sometimes. I still order from BigBasket and have had good experiences 90% of the time!

    Pathetic service by big basket. My order has been delayed by more than a day. I get a call the next day saying the delivery person is stuck in traffic and he will arrive in 20 mins. But no one ever came to deliver my order. I tried calling the customer care number multiple times but no one answers and there has been no updates from the customer care about when i will receive my order. This has happened many times before. They never come in the slot you choose. But i still ordered as I was unable to run to my local grocery store for all the items. Out of the 4 times I have ordered from big basket, only once I have received my order within the given time slot. I think its high time to stop using their service. I live in bangalore and I dont know if anyone has faced this issue so frequently like me.

    The new tagline for Big Basket should be “sorry for the inconvinience”. My experience with BB is just horrible. Ordered 5 times from them…..all the times i faced one or the other issue. Either the fruits were stale, veges of bad quality, or at times the delivery was so promt that I had to wait for 3hrs beyond the scheduled time to receive my order. Had to spend more money calling the customer care than the discounts received. Thanks for such a wonderful experience, finally had delete BB app from my mobile.

    Never do any purchase from this site it is a worst and pathetic site if you order today they will deliver you tomorrow and that to be in parts next deliver could be after 2 or 3 days,so if you are planing any party or any this in urgent never order with them.they have cancelled my item which i need in very urgently .I will never do shopping on this site again.

    Today I have ordered for Rs 559 vide order BBO-5979980-201215 but I have not been given the offer of Tropicana Moosambi juice for orders above Rs 500 during the week as per the banner on home page and I have been charged Rs 20 as delivery charges although it is not chargeable for orders more than Rs 500.

    I places the order two days back and I supposed to received 200 off on 1000 or above shopping. It was also displayed during checkout and i tried to make payment through net banking and that was failed due to error page not found some technical glitch from big basket site. after that my order has been covered to on cash delivery by removing the discount. I called the customer service immediately after that and he told me you will get the discount after delivery, just pay the quoted amount on delivery and call us back and will credit 200 bugs.

    I called them back after delivery and navigated the story and then he come up with something stupid like one of the product in my shopping list isn’t qualify for the discount.

    200 bugs might not be matter to me much but matter is service and promises and value for word. From my experience, I suggest don’t go on their word if you think price or discount not offered as quoted just canceled the order and do not pay with cash on delivery.

    Horrible experience with Big Basket. Have been following up for refund for over 10 days. Its mere Rs.746 and they just say we have initiated transfer. Not ready to help. They tell that they will call back with details but they do not. I asked for confirmation saying that you have received success for that transaction and they do not have it. Would suggest to keep away from them. Let’s see if I receive my refund at all.

    MISSING ITEM FROM THE DELIVERY BBO-8414664-190316 ::

    I had ORDERED FEE ITEMS the man from big basket delivered to my house and left immediately and I had made online payment .
    I checked the ITEMS TO FIND 1kg URAD DAL is missing , I had called the man who delivered immediately he says call the customer care I called the customer care immediately he says about will be reverted back .

    IS THIS THE KIND OF SERVICE WE GET FROM BIGBASKET ?

    • I do love the manner in which you have presented this difficulty plus it really does supply us some fodder for consideration. On the other hand, from everything that I have personally seen, I really hope as other commentary pack on that people remain on point and don’t get started upon a soap box associated with some other news of the day. All the same, thank you for this superb piece and though I do not necessarily concur with it in totality, I respect the perspective.

    I Ordered for the first time and they did not deliver within 2 hours as mentioned in the Website. Called 3 times in 1 hour , every time they told they are tracking. And After 2 hours which is 4 hours from the time I placed the order I got a call to inform that the items which was ordered is out of stock. It is really disgusting and a very bad Customer Service

    I really don’t know whats going on here with BadaBasket, I never expected the First experience with First Order will be like this, then you can imagine the future orders. I still hope BadaBasket will keep what they promise.

    Its better to buy groceries @nearby shops rather than relying on online services. Because they don’t know what they are doing.

    This is the 4th time BigBasket extending the delivery slot and then shamelessly cancelling it. This is what they do to the customers who pay upfront and order ordinary veggies and groceries. Last time to get harassed by a bunch of well paid jokers! This story will soon reach their investors – Helion , Bessemer, Ascent and others and also should reach the Ministry of Consumer Affairs so that they can put similar regulations on these jokers as they did on cab aggregators.

    After repeated bitter experiences with BigBasket.com, I can confidently claim that they are one of the worst in customer experience.
    This has been happening repeatedly, that an order is placed with BigBasket.com and then not honoured, but this time, they have touched all heights of dishonesty.
    A couple of weeks back, I had placed an order with them, and booked an available slot through the site, but they failed to deliver and in place, sent some petty apology amount to my wallet, which obviously does not make up for the inconvenience caused, but it was their way of making things better.
    Another time, they sent only half the things that I had ordered, through the website, and did not even shoot a prior mail, saying that only half the items will be delivered. It was only after getting the delivery, at 9 in the night, that I found out that half the things had been cancelled, so I had to go out in the night and get them myself.
    Clearly a case of highly mismanaged inventory, and lack of technology to reflect it on their site/ app.
    I had overlooked these glitches, but what BigBasket.com did yesterday, really put me off.
    I had planned a dinner at my place on Tuesday night and hence had placed the order with them on Monday. Since the next available delivery slot was Tuesday 7:30-10pm, I was forced to book delivery for that time, hoping that if I got the raw material a little early, say by 9 ish, I would quickly whip up something for my guests.
    At 8:45 pm, on Tuesday, while I had guests waiting on me, I remembered that they had once failed to deliver in the booked time slot, so I started to panic. I called their customer care and they assured me that my order is on its way, and will definitely be delivered, with all the items ordered.
    I must have made at least 5 calls between 8:45 pm – 10 pm, just to be repeatedly assured that my order would be delivered with all the items that I had ordered.
    My last call was at 9:55 pm, when the customer care guy told me that the delivery boy’s bike had broken down, he will call the delivery guy and then call me back, and also assured me that my items would definitely reach me by 10:15 pm or so. Now I had guests waiting on me on one side, and the fear of not getting the raw materials in time. After I did not hear from their customer care, I again called up, only to be directed to an audio clip that they are shut after 10pm and I should write a mail to them for further assistance.
    I had to get out of my house at 10:20pm and go around hastily, looking for the stuff that I had ordered.
    I do not understand this sly behaviour – if you cannot fulfil your commitments, why commit in the first place. Even if you are inefficient in fulfilling them, why lie to people giving them false assurance! Do not expect this kind of slyness from BigBasket.com, when they say that they would revert and do not even bother.
    To make things worse, i got an email from BigBasket.com, at 10:53 in the night which stated that my order would be delivered on Thursday (which was two days later), between 7-9:30 am! They did not even bother to ask if I was available at home that time or not!
    I again got another mail from them at 6:52 am the next day (Wednesday morning), stating that a couple of items from my order had been cancelled! They conveniently cancelled 11 pieces from my basket!
    And again, out of nowhere, the doorbell rang at 7 am – it was the delivery boy, disturbing my sleep, to deliver once item out of the 12 items that I had ordered. I told him to take it back, since I had already got it last night.
    After 10 minutes, the doorbell rang again. I had to get out of bed to find another delivery boy from BigBasket.com, to deliver the product that I had just returned.
    I felt extremely harassed and cheated at the same time. First they confirm orders. Then, if you are lucky, they deliver, but with only half the items. And most of the times, they do not bother to deliver. looks like they do not have the technology to handle scale at the moment. What horrible services BigBasket.com, and such sly customer care! Never making a fool out of myself by ordering from here again!

    Up till 3 months ago I had a positive experience with Big Basket. The last time I ordered, my delivery never showed up in spite of making follow up calls. Eventually, I cancelled the order. Today out of 20 items, 4 were missing and 3 were damaged. Luckily, I had not paid by card. On calling customer service, I was told I will get my delivery at the ‘next available slot’ which was 24 hours later… RIDICULOUS. They mess up the order and instead of immediate replacement, I’m made to wait. My local store might charge me a bit more but the service and quality is way better. Will not ever be using Big Basket again and will be posting my review on all sites possible. They need to take responsibility for their poor quality and unreliability. Absolutely unacceptable!

    BigBasket delivery persons are liars. This is the second time he was in the wrong part of town and do not know how to find the address. SInce, 7:30 he and I exchanged at least 7 calls including his supervisor. He is nothing but a stupid guy who cannot read or understand directions. In Pune you have the worst staff who do not prepare their staff and give proper directions. For now, I will delete your app. I will wait for my refund money that paid for the order last week and cancel my account from you guys.

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS> YOU CANNOT DEPEND THAT THINGS WILL BE DELIVERED ON TIME.

    DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COmpany. I had horrible two experiences. I had to go out and buy things in the last minute because their delivery person from did not know the area and reported to BB that he called me but I did not pick up phone. Which is lie.

    They employee people who cannot read signs or follow directions. He wasted my time since morning 7:20AM till 10AM and finally I got a call from BB that they called but I did not answer.

    THIS COMPANY DESERVES TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS

    It was my first time ordering on bigbasket. I got two phone calls welcoming me to bigbasket. I selected evening delivery on the next day 5.30 to 7.30 pm. They didnt deliver as expected. I called customer care and the lady assured to call me back in ten minutes. She didnt call for 30 mins, just as i expected. So i called back again and this guy put me on conference with the delivery person. He says he is stuck in traffic and he already informed his supervisor. I know the traffic in my area and i dont think it was the traffic. the first lady i spoke to didnt bother to call me back and inform me that the delivery person will be late. I ended up staying hungry. I should have just walked to the grocery store and cooked and eaten on time! This website sucks. It doesnt work peopple. Just go and buy your groceries. Dont be lazy like me.

    I have been ordering from big basket for quite some time now and I have noticed that their standards which were very high at one point of time have dipped to an all time low. In the last 40 days I have ordered 6 times and not a single delivery has been on time, in fact 4 deliveries were cancelled. What pisses me off about big basket is that what could have been great is now a rubbish company. I have a 4 month old baby so ordering is the natural option but with banya dead and big basket acting up there is a hole that someone can fill.

    all in all I would say that the company has about 6 months tops before there is a total collapse in their business model.

    ordered 1kg fresh chicken from big basket to be delivered b/w 5:30 to 7:30pm…..after calling 10 times, they said that the product was out of stock!!!horrible!!!!

    Most pathetic, irritating, frustrating experience. Big Basket customer service is worst, idiotic, non-sense. Very poor & unresponsive, irresponsible. Foolish people sitting there to operate. I want to drag them to the court for their pathetic service & system. Helpless people operating their Customer Service. I can’t describe my entire situation here since it is a very long story. But to cut it down, they should not be named as Big Basket, it should actually be renamed as Bug-Basket. I would never recommend anybody to shop on Bug-Basket oops Big-basket.

    Guess the traditional go to supermarket to buy method is best! Things like Big Basket do not work in India. I placed an order on Sunday for delivery on Tuesday morning! Having got a text on Monday confirming delivery, I waited for the entire specified delivery slot on but no one came by. When I called the customer care, the person delivery team and said the order was cancelled. I didn’t received any email notifying cancellation. Also I made a payment via Card that was taken through. They don’t refund in cash so what is point of using their service!

    Their advertisements on television and radio are pretty enticing and enterprise idea also appears western but they do not back themselves with resources and quality! Absolute waste of time and effort.

    Also don’t be surprised if the grocery arrives wet or damaged as they just throw stuff everywhere. I returned a pack of oil as it packaging was damaged only to realise that the oil pack burst when the delivery person threw it in a crate! They have also broken my front door stopper without paying for it!

    this side pragyan ….i am a frequent customer of yours.you are really giving pathetic services to customers..today i ordered icecream from bigbasket its completely spoiled,melt and literally insects are there.if you are providing such services really you completely vanish from the market..i just hate bigbasket overall experience..due to this you are going to loose many customers including me..i hope you aware about bad mouth i ll be going spread all my experiences to my friends and colleagues… many times you missed the items..and apart from that there is one option card on delivery that really not working..
    SERIOUSLY DISGUSTING SERVICES..

    This is the extent and height of there services. They are always fooling me and there is no response from them. When you contact them they will give only one excuse…..due to technical reason….!!!!!!!!

    I just hate them….!

    Never buy any product from Big Bastards and Shahrukh Khan should quit from its advertisement or he should be convicted in court.

    The service provided Big Basket is utterly pathetic. I had ordered some product, out of which were one packet of curd and 2kg Onions. The curd packet was all torn, the delivery took the total amount from me saying he will resend the curd in some time. No one ever came back ! And when I opened the packet of Onion, 50% of them were rotten. After calling up the customer care and staying on call with them for 40 minutes, their response was we will credit back the amount to your account !! After escalating the call to their supervisor, his response was we will resend the products to you tomorrow morning. They are charging us extra for home delivery which we are willing to pay due to busy schedule and not being able to go out ourselves and this the service we get from Big Basket. Basically they take advantage of customer and selling them their garbage products. I am dragging them to consumer court for making fake promises on television and online and in reality providing pathetic service.

    NOT RELIABLE at all. After the order is confirmed and payment is made, it removes some items from the list; and deny adding the removed items available from different brand. On top of that, it takes 7-10 working days to get the refund, if you dare cancel the order. Their customer service associates have no etiquettes. Most of the times their delivery is delayed, and IMO local store provides better quality at much cheaper rates, if you consider delivery charges and services from BB. I’ve now uninstalled the BB app, as they keep bombarding you with irrelevant notifications.

      i have ordered on big basket and they were suppose to send a welcome kit along with the first order but when their delivery boy arrived half of my order as well as. welcome kit was missing….he simply told me it is nothing but only labels of grocery…he will deliver me the next day with me another half order ….but next day some other delivery boy came with a excuse that he did not know anything about it and he told me to speak to customer care….when i called up the customer care a lady,named kayki told me that she would check it and got it delivered in another 3 days else whole amount of my order would be refund back…..i waited for whole one week and again called the customer care and asked for the lady,,,the guy on the phone asked me the whole matter and again told me that their senior would call me back and i would not be having any problem and would get my welcome kit…..now its more than a month i haven’t got anything…..what a grand welcome they have shown….they are such liars and irresponsible people…..worst online grocery store…..cheaters
