To begin with I have never used a kindle before. Therefore, in my review i am not comparing it with any of the previous models. I used to read books on my iPad before switching to the Kindle Oasis. This is a beautiful and innovative piece of device. It is as light as a feather and one can easily read from it by holding it in one hand. One can read for hours even in the dark without straining the eyes. The best part about it is that I can now read outside in the sun without getting any glare on the screen like i did on my iPad. The page turn buttons are a blessing. The touchscreen is a little slow as compared to the iPad but I guess it's the kindle software which is to be blamed and not this model Oasis. Highly recommend this product. I've given one star less as Amazon India is not providing all three colour options for the cover as it's provided in all the stores abroad. If Amazon is charging a higher price in India, the least I expect is to get my choice of colour. The battery life( without charging) is not for months as it claims, but for say 2-3 weeks which is decent if u read everyday for 2 hours I guess. I'm not missing my iPad for reading at all. Let's just say I'm on the happy side of the spectrum :)
